Gearbox
Cooling Tower Reduction Gearbox is right angle in single / double reduction. They are spiral bevel in design and have a Service Factor of minimum 2.0 on the motor HP. mentioned. Gearbox having reduction ratio of 2.13, 2.71 and 4.56 are a perfect replacement to old Gearboxes and hence need no modification for mounting. All Gearboxes are suitable for 4 pole (1500 rpm.) electric motor.
All the Gearboxes have been selected w.r.t. the Fan diameter so as to keep the maximum tip velocity of the fan below the stipulated 60 m/sec.
